Haircutting & Styling

Offering a wide variety of styling techniques that range from contemporary to trendy and sophisticated.

Hair designing for weddings and proms, including updo's and braiding for that special occasion.

Hair Coloring

Permanent: Cover gray. Take your natural color lighter or darker.

Demi-Permanent: Deposit color only. Can not go lighter than your natural hair color. Gives hair back the shine it once had.

Semi-Permanent: Temporary color change. A deposit of color.

Highlights: A way to lighten hair by specially placing "foil" with color throughout the head. Highlights can also be used to camoflage camoflauge or blend gray. This can be done to give a natural or bold look to the hair.

Lowlights: The same as highlights but done with dark colors.

Chemical Texturizing, Waving & Curling: Add body to fine, limp hair. Create big dramatic waves. Enjoy firm bouncy curls. Great for soft style support, a.k.a. Permanent waving.

Hair Extensions

Hair extensions are either hand tied or machine made. We only use virgin hair or cuticle hair. Hair extensions are also called wefts. The weft is attached to your hair by sewing it to a horizontal braid (using your own hair). The braid is called a track. The track is very similar to a small cornrow. Most clients will wear two to four tracks at one time.

It is important to remember that your own hair grows at a rate of one half inch per month, and as the track loosens (due to regrowth) it will be necessary to have them tightened every eight to twelve weeks.

Extensions can give your own hair more volume, length and depth of color. Perhaps you would like more wave, some highlights or just want to cover a thinning area. The choices are limitless. Your new extensions are simple to care for. With proper care, your extensions can last eight months or longer. Your stylist will advise you on how to properly maintain your extensions using the correct shampoo and conditioning products.

You should notice very little difference between your own hair and the new hair you added. Enjoy different styles, ponytails, updo's, braids, etc. Coloring or highlighting your own hair while wearing extensions is not a problem.
With everything from a basic cut to color, extensions, and straightening, George Oliveri Salon has everything to give you any style you desire.
